Generations Blog Post

Generation Y is based on people who were born from 1977-1995. They are known for being very sophisticated and technologically savvy. Some popular movies from this time era are The Lion King and Titanic.  Along with movies, there were also many popular songs from this era. The song, "What a Feeling" by Irene Cara is from the famous movie Flashdance. Another very popular artist from Generation Y was Michael Jackson, he sang and preformed many songs; one of his many songs is "Billie Jean". Some popular tv shows from this era consist of; Full House and Happy Days. Some magazines that were sold and popular consist of Smash Hits and Cosmopolitan. Smash Hits is more of a magazine from the past, but Cosmopolitan is a magazine that still exists today. The Girls Movement and Oklahoma City Bombing were both events that took place during the generation y time period. Generation Y was known for traveling overseas.
