The Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation is a foundation that reaches out to kids in the Boston communities and helps those who are in need. It's a non-profit organization that provides the youth with vital services and support. Some of the partners that the foundation is partnered with are; Berklee City Music Network, Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston, Boston Children's Hospital, Citi Performing Arts Center, Horizons for Homeless Children, Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, Perkins School for the Blind, Positive Coaching Alliance and The3PointFoundation. Their mission is to help fund these organizations and have a greater impact on the community by helping thousands of youth kids. The Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation holds a fundraiser called "Teeing Up for Kids" each year. "Teeing Up for Kids" is their annual Shamrock Classic Golf Tournament. The day features food, girfs awards, and golfing. This even helps raise money for all the organizations that they support around the Boston area.
Future Celtics:
The Boston Celtics also have a program called the Future Celtics. This program was presented by the New England Baptist Hospital. They challenge over 600 3rd-5th grader to develop their basketball skills. The program holds clinic events at local YMCA's for the youth. The players coach and lead the youth in drills that will help with their basketball skills, but also with their leadership skills. They are also welcome to go to a Celtics game as a Future Celtics All-Star.
